Our Season Starts the Second Week of July and Continues Through Thanksgiving

Our goal has always been to deliver the best vegetables, fruit, and other locally sourced food. In order to continue delivering the highest quality produce.

What Is A CSA?

CSA stands for “community supported agriculture”. There are wide varieties and types of CSA’s, all which revolve around one thing – getting fresh, quality, local produce to consumers on a regular basis throughout a growing season. In our case, we offer weekly boxes of produce for pickup at set locations throughout the growing season. In each box are vegetables and fruits handpicked fresh, often just hours before delivery. We have grown and sold vegetables and fruits for decades, and have offered CSA memberships for over 10 years now. We started with one location, at the farm, but over the years have expanded to offer pickup at various locations. With every coming year we look forward to serving old and new customers with the best produce around.

What Are The Benefits Of A Membership?

  • You’re supporting your local community – Local farmers are under constant push from commercialized vegetable producers making survival more difficult with each coming year. This is a great way to show support for local business!
  • Promotes a healthier lifestyle while inspiring creativity – You are more likely to use and cook with what you have available. With a box of produce in your house each week, you become motivated to use what is there. Members often comment on how much they love trying new vegetables and recipes inspired by CSA vegetables. And of course, with minimal pesticide use, vegetables are much healthier than similar produce from commercialized sources.
  • You’re eating in season – CSA’s are only able to sell what they’re able to grow so what you get will be the freshest of what’s in season.
  • Convenience – Take the hassle out of going to a grocery store and having to pick and choose what produce you will use to stock your house each week. Simply pick up your box once a week and have the perfect variety of fresh, in season produce.

What Is In A CSA Box?

With the use of high tunnels (unheated greenhouses/cold frames) we plan on weekly shares being available on the second week of July, with the possibility of bonus shares in June containing lettuce and other cole crops. High tunnels also provide the possibility of late season summer crops such as tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, and summer squash, past the date of which these would typically be available due to the frost protection provided by the buildings. Items in the boxes will vary by week, and by pickup day and location. Our 20 week guaranteed season will begin on the 2nd week of July and will continue weekly until the week before Thanksgiving. Of course, there is possibility of early/late bonus weeks in June and after Thanksgiving (all included in a membership).

What's in Season

Locally Sourced Produce, Honey & Beef

Our methods of growing are very environmentally sound and pollinator friendly to provide a product that is nutritious. We limit pesticides usage by using methods that are sound farming practices such as Integrated Pest Management (IPM), Cover Crops, and No Till practices.
